Scholarship Requirements: Candidate must be a U.S. citizen and an underrepresented minority (African-American, Native American [including Eskimo, Alaskan Aleut, Hawaiian Native], Mexican-American, or mainland Puerto Rican) student attending an accredited U.S. medical school and must demonstrate academic achievement and interest and promise for a career in biomedical and clinical sciences research, epidemiology, and health policy. Fellowship is for four, eight, or 12 weeks, with a three-day orientation session at the Center of Addiction and Substance Abuse in New York City. Only one application will be accepted from each medical school. Letters of recommendation from dean and academic advisor, academic transcripts, and personal statement with application required.
