If you are currently applying for Woodie and Mabel Best Scholarshipname, one of your best practices is to save all of your work on the computer. Don’t simply write out your essay, you should type it out first, and then attach it with a staple. The importance here is that you gain the ability to reuse many of the answers on the application, especially the essay itself. This will save you time, and it will allow you to apply to even more places awarded by different sponsors, like Oregon Student Assistance Commissionname. The more places you can apply to, the better your chances of landing some serious scholarship money. You don’t want to find yourself doing just enough scholarships to get none of them. It’s best to get as many hooks in the water as possible.

For instance, you don’t have strong references. Or, you might not have the best of work histories. Sometimes, these things are considered, but you need to outweigh them. The reviewers are also people, and if you sway them in one direction with a strong part of your application, you might just make them forget about your tarnished side. So, if you you don’t have solid references for Oregon Student Assistance Commission, then write an essay that is stellar. Essays are one of the best ways to look like a solid applicant for the simple fact that you can take just about as long as you want on them, and they are a window into the essence of you. If you boast a strong essay, but other parts of your application are lacking, you might just be able to squeak by the gatekeeper.
